Purpose:

The Sharing the Road module educates drivers on the importance of cooperative and defensive driving and emphasizes the benefits of collaborative and courteous driving.

Module Objectives:

The Sharing the Road module's main objective is to teach drivers the importance of being cooperative and defensive drivers and making and recognizing different manoeuvres. These manoeuvres are predictable and not random. The module will also teach drivers how to manage their space responsibly, communicate with other road-users effectively, and drive safely and courteously.

Learning Outcomes:

After completing this module, drivers will acquire the following skills and knowledge:

• Drivers will learn the difference between cooperative and defensive driving.
• Drivers will learn the benefits of cooperative driving.
• Drivers will learn about space management.
• Drivers will learn how to share the road with other drivers.
• Drivers will learn how to predict and anticipate the behaviours of other road-users.
• Drivers will learn the importance of communication with other road-users and how it promotes safety.
