Instruments and Warning Indicators Explained - Vehicle Safety Tips
The instruments and warning indicators communicate the following pieces of information:
- Speedometer: Shows current Speed and mileage in MPH and KPH.
- Tachometer: Shows the number of rotations per minute the engine is making.
- Odometer: Shows distance in miles or kilometres a car has travelled in its lifetime.
- Fuel Gauge: Indicates how much fuel remains in the vehicle's fuel tank.
- Gear Display: Shows which gear the car is currently in.
- Turn Signal Indicators: Indicates a flashing light when turn signals are on.
- Hazard Lights: This shows when emergency lights are on.
