The "Vehicle and its Components" module aims to help drivers develop knowledge of vehicle components and how this leads to safe driving and legal usage of a motor vehicle.

Module Objectives:

The main objective of the "Vehicle and its Components" module is to teach drivers about the vehicle's various components.

Everyone must take personal responsibility for having adequate knowledge about the vehicle and its components. Drivers play a vital role in preventing crashes, and knowing the vehicle's safety and handling will contribute to the safety of all road-users.

Learning Outcomes:

After completing this module successfully, drivers will acquire the following skills and knowledge:

• Drivers will learn about the vehicle, its components and the purpose of various components.
• Drivers will learn how to locate and identify critical components like the Ignition switch, Lever/Gearshift for the transmission, steering wheel, accelerator, brake pedals, clutch pedals (manual transmission), parking brake, airbags, and other new gadgets.
• Drivers will learn how to locate and identify the various components of the vehicle, such as instruments and warning indicators, safety devices, control devices, anti-thefts and communication devices.
• Drivers will learn the importance of pre-trip checks that include both internal and external checks.
• Drivers will learn about the routine pre-trip checklist for better control and safety before the trip.
• Drivers will learn the importance of safety devices, seat settings, mirrors and steering wheel handling.
