Testing here means transitioning from extremely quiet, unmarked residential grids directly into the aggressive, 90 km/h flow of cross-country transport traffic.
You will face a stark contrast between sleepy neighborhood driving and the intense, high-speed demands of Highway 17.
Hesitating on the Highway 17 merge. City drivers get nervous and try to merge at 70 km/h, creating a massive hazard for the 90+ km/h transport traffic.
Straddling lanes on unmarked roads. Winter weather erodes the painted lines; students fail by drifting into the center of the road rather than hugging the right side.
Tailgating heavy transport vehicles. Failing to leave a mandatory 3-second space cushion behind logging and freight trucks on the main artery.
