Tips for Road Test Booking in Ontario
Booking and preparing for your Ontario road test does not have to be stressful. Follow these tips from Driviology's certified instructors to give yourself the best chance of passing.
Book Early
DriveTest appointment slots fill up quickly, especially in Toronto. Book 4–6 weeks in advance.
Choose the Right Centre
Some DriveTest centres have lighter traffic and simpler test routes. Ask your instructor for advice.
Take a Pre-Test Lesson
A practice lesson at the test centre the day before — or morning of — dramatically reduces nerves.
Know the Test Route
Driviology instructors practise the actual roads used by local DriveTest examiners.
Check Your Vehicle
If using your own car, ensure all lights, signals, brakes, and mirrors work properly before your test.
Bring the Right Documents
Bring your licence and any other required documents. Check the DriveTest website for the current list.
Arrive Early
Arrive 15–20 minutes before your appointment to settle in and do a quick vehicle inspection.
Stay Calm
Examiners expect some nervousness. Focus on the road, not the examiner. Drive as you've been trained.
